Terms of Service

By using CliPets you agree to these terms. CliPets is an independent, developer-run project. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. The service

CliPets lets you browse, generate, download and install pixel pets for the Codex app. Some pets are AI-generated from your input; others come from third-party galleries and keep their own licenses.

2. Your account

We use passwordless email login. You're responsible for keeping access to your email address; anyone who can receive your login code can access your account.

3. Acceptable use

Don't submit prompts or images that are illegal, infringing, hateful, or that you don't have the rights to use. Don't attempt to overload, scrape at scale, or disrupt the service. We may suspend access that abuses the service or these terms.

4. Generated pets & licenses

Pets you generate are yours to use, subject to the terms of the underlying image provider (OpenAI). Pets from curated, community, Petdex or fan sources remain under the license each one states — check and respect it, especially for commercial use.

5. Payments

Priority credits are a one-time purchase (USD $4.90 each) that let you skip the queue for one immediate hatch. Optional subscriptions raise your daily limit. All payments are processed by Stripe in USD. Prices may change; changes don't affect purchases already made.

6. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

7. No warranty

The service and generated pets are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. AI output may be imperfect or unexpected; we don't guarantee any particular result, uptime, or fitness for a purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose.

9. Changes & termination

We may update these terms or the service, and may suspend or end the service. We'll update the date above on changes; continued use means you accept the revised terms.
